Ingredients
  

  • 6 large apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • 2. In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar. Spread in a greased baking dish.
  • 3. In another bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, butter, and salt until crumbly.
  • 4. Sprinkle crumble over apples.
  • 5. Bake for 35-40 minutes until apples are bubbly and topping is golden brown.

Notes

Use Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples for best results.
Add chopped nuts to the crumble for extra crunch.
