  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • Heart-shaped cookie cutter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
  • Add eggs and vanilla bean paste; mix until smooth.
  • Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with fudgy crumbs.
  • Allow brownies to cool completely, then use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes. Decorate with powdered sugar or sprinkles if desired.
