Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  • 2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  • 3. Add crushed pineapple with juice, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Stir until just combined.
  • 4. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  • 5. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • 6. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

Use pineapple in juice, not syrup.
Do not overmix the batter to keep the cake tender.
