Ingredients
  

  • 3 medium pears peeled and sliced
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons old-fashioned oats
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Dash of nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon cold butter cubed
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions
 

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a baking dish.
  • 2. Toss sliced pears with lemon juice and place in dish.
  • 3. Mix sugars, oats, flour, and spices in a bowl.
  • 4. Cut in cold butter until mixture becomes crumbly.
  • 5. Stir in nuts and sprinkle over pear layer.
  • 6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until topping is golden and fruit is bubbling.
  • 7. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

To make it gluten-free, use almond flour instead of all-purpose.
Try adding apples or cranberries for variation.
Keeps well refrigerated for 3 days.
