Ingredients
  

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 14 oz soft caramels
  • 1 can 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions
 

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • 2. Mix cake mix with melted butter until crumbly. Press half into the pan; bake 8–10 minutes.
  • 3. Melt caramels with sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
  • 4. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust; pour caramel evenly on top.
  • 5. Crumble remaining dough over caramel; bake 20–25 minutes until set.
  • 6. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
