Ingredients
  

  • 1 package 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup coconut optional
  • 1 roll 16.5 oz refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough

Instructions
 

  • 1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  • 2. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and egg until smooth. Stir in coconut.
  • 3. In an ungreased 9- or 8-inch square pan, break up half of the cookie dough. Press dough evenly in the bottom to form a crust.
  • 4. Spread cream cheese mixture over the dough. Crumble and sprinkle remaining dough over cream cheese mixture.
  • 5. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  • 6. Cool for 30 minutes. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until chilled. Cut into 16 bars.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened for a smooth mixture.
Allow bars to cool completely before refrigerating for best results.
