For Serving

  • as needed Ice cubes Add just before serving to prevent dilution.
  • as needed Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional) Enhances aroma and presentation.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by bringing 4 cups of water to a near boil. Once it reaches this point, remove it from heat and add the green tea bags and ginger.
  • Allow them to steep for about 3 minutes.
  • After steeping, strain the tea to remove the tea bags and any ginger pieces.
  • While the tea is still warm, add in the thinly sliced apple and let this infuse for about 30 minutes as the tea cools to room temperature.
  • Stir in the honey while the tea remains warm to help it dissolve more effectively.
  • Once the tea has cooled to room temperature, transfer it to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1-2 hours.

Serving

  • To serve, pour the chilled tea into glass jars or tall glasses filled with ice.
  • Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves for both aroma and color.

Notes

Store any leftover iced tea in the refrigerator for up to three days. Add ice just before serving to avoid dilution. Experiment with different fruits or teas for a refreshing twist.
