- 6 –8 fresh peaches peeled and sliced
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon optional
- Pinch of salt
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a bowl, toss sliced peaches with sugar and lemon juice. Let sit 10 minutes.
3. Pour melted butter into a 9x13 baking dish.
4. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth.
5. Pour batter over butter—do not stir.
6. Spoon peach mixture evenly on top.
7. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
8. Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbling.
9. Let cool for 15–20 minutes before serving.
Use ripe, in-season peaches for best flavor.
You can leave skins on if preferred.
