  • 1 cup all-purpose flour heat-treated
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup milk dairy or non-dairy alternative
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional

Instructions
 

  • Spread flour evenly on a baking sheet and bake at 300°F for 5 to 7 minutes. Cool completely.
  • In a medium bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla bean paste. Mix until smooth.
  • Gradually mix in cooled flour and salt until thick and fudgy.
  • Fold in chocolate chips or other mix-ins if desired.
  • Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

- Ensure flour is completely cool before mixing.
