  • 1 cup all-purpose flour heat-treated
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional

Instructions
 

  • Spread the flour on a baking sheet and bake at 300°F for 5 to 7 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla bean paste. Mix until smooth.
  • Gradually mix in cooled flour and salt until well combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips or other mix-ins.
  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge.

- Ensure the flour is completely cool before using.
