  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened (for frosting)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste for frosting
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 cup sprinkles or edible glitter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, beat butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, then mix in milk and vanilla bean paste until smooth.
  • Gradually fold in dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Fill each cupcake liner 2/3 full with batter.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • For frosting, beat butter, powdered sugar, vanilla bean paste, and cream until smooth.
  • Once cupcakes are cool, frost and decorate with sprinkles.
