Ingredients
  

  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: fruit jam chocolate chips, or cinnamon sugar

Instructions
 

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • 3. Unroll dough and separate into triangles.
  • 4. Place 1 heaping tsp of filling near the wide end of each triangle.
  • 5. Roll toward the point, tucking edges slightly to seal.
  • 6. Place on baking sheet, brush with egg wash if desired.
  • 7. Bake 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
  • 8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Let cream cheese soften at room temperature for the smoothest filling.
For variation, add a swirl of jam before rolling.
Can be frozen unbaked for up to a month.
