Ingredients
  

  • 4 ripe Bosc or Anjou pears halved, cored
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg chopped nuts, granola

Instructions
 

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  • 2. Place halved pears cut-side up in the dish.
  • 3. Melt butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a saucepan.
  • 4. Pour syrup mixture over pears.
  • 5. Bake 25–30 minutes, basting halfway through.
  • 6. Serve warm with your choice of toppings.

Notes

Use firm-ripe pears like Bosc or Anjou.
Add cloves or ginger for extra spice.
Delicious with ice cream, yogurt, or crumble topping.
