  • 1 box 15.25 oz chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can 12 oz evaporated milk
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Pour half of the chocolate cake mix evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • Combine evaporated milk and melted butter, then pour half over the cake mix. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce on top.
  • Sprinkle half of the chocolate chips and pecans (if using) over the sauce. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is set and bubbly. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

- Use pecans for an added crunch.
- Let the cake cool slightly for easier serving.
