- Canned black cherries or cherry compote
- Cherry liqueur or juice
- Vanilla custard
- Whipped cream or mascarpone mix

1. Layer the chocolate cake or brownie cubes at the bottom of a trifle dish.
2. Spoon over cherries and a bit of their syrup (or cherry liqueur).
