  • Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C). This low heat is essential for dehydrates the apples slowly.
  • Core and thinly slice the apples into even pieces, ideally around 1/8-inch thick.
  • In a bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar together. You can skip the sugar for a plain flavor.
  • Toss the apple slices in the lemon juice immediately after slicing, then coat them lightly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 2-3 hours, checking occasionally until completely dried and crispy.
  • Allow the chips to cool on the baking sheet before storing them in an airtight container.

Notes

Use a mandoline for consistent slicing. Store in an airtight container to maintain crispiness. Optional: sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt for enhanced flavor.
