Ingredients

1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar

3 tablespoons water

1/4 cup refined coconut oil

3 tablespoons soy milk

4 apples

4 popsicle sticks


Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, water, and cream of tartar.

2. Heat over medium, allowing it to boil without stirring for 6-8 minutes until it turns medium brown.

3. Remove from heat and whisk in coconut oil.

4. Slowly add soy milk while stirring continuously until smooth.

5. Cool to room temperature before reheating until it bubbles for 45 seconds.

6. Cool for 10 minutes until sticky.

7. Insert popsicle sticks into apples, dip into caramel, and coat evenly.

Notes

Use firm apples like Granny Smith for best results.

Ensure caramel cools to the right consistency before dipping apples.
