Description

A healthy and visually appealing snack or appetizer, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

1 small apple, halved

Wooden skewers (4-6 inches)

1 cup red grapes

1 cup green grapes

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

1 cup orange segments

1 cup pineapple chunks

1/2 cup blueberries

Small pretzel sticks or banana slices (optional)

Candy eyes (optional)

Small piece of carrot (optional)

Small piece of red bell pepper or dried cranberry (optional)

Instructions

1. Place the apple half, cut-side down, on a serving platter.

2. Wash and dry all fruits. Cut larger fruits into bite-sized pieces.

3. Thread fruits onto skewers to resemble turkey feathers.

4. Insert skewers into the apple to create the turkey’s tail.

5. Use a pretzel stick or banana slice for the head.

6. Attach optional candy eyes, carrot beak, and bell pepper wattle.

Notes

Use a variety of fruits for visual appeal.

Thoroughly dry fruits to prevent sogginess.

Adjust skewer lengths for desired turkey size.
