Description

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips

Optional toppings: candy eyeballs, sprinkles, frosting


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter with sugars until glossy.

3. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

4. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir until just combined.

5. Fold in chocolate chips.

6. Pour into prepared pan and smooth the top.

7. Bake for 28–32 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.

8. Cool completely before decorating.

9. Add your favorite Halloween toppings like candy eyes, ganache, or crushed cookies.

Notes

Don’t overbake—edges should be set but center slightly soft.
