Description

Deliciously gooey apple and caramel-filled treats, perfect for a cozy snack.

Ingredients

Scale

1 large can (21 ounces) apple pie filling

1 cup granulated sugar

2 to 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 can biscuit dough (7.5 ounces)

10 individually wrapped caramels, cut in half

Oil for frying (vegetable oil)

Instructions

1. In a heavy skillet, add 2.5 quarts of vegetable oil and heat over medium heat.

2. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon, then set aside.

3. Open the can of biscuits and separate them. Flatten each biscuit slightly with your palm.

4. Spoon 1 tablespoon of apple pie filling onto the center of each flattened biscuit.

5. Place two caramel halves on top of the apple filling.

6. Pinch the dough together to seal and roll into a ball.

7. Using a slotted spoon, gently place up to two pie bombs into the hot oil, rolling continuously to brown all sides.

8. Once golden, remove pie bombs with the slotted spoon and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

9. Set on a cooling rack to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Ensure the oil is not too hot to avoid burning.

Serve with a drizzle of caramel or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
