Description
A rich fall dessert layering creamy cheesecake, spiced apple pie filling, and salted caramel drizzle.
Ingredients
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup melted butter
3 blocks cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
3 large eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup caramel sauce
1 tsp flaky sea salt
Whipped cream & nuts for topping
Instructions
1. Mix graham crumbs and butter; press into springform pan.
2. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth; add eggs, sour cream, vanilla.
3. Pour filling over crust.
4. Cook apple slices with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon until softened.
5. Spread apple mixture over cheesecake filling.
6. Bake in water bath at 325°F for 60–70 minutes.
7. Cool, then chill at least 4 hours or overnight.
8. Top with salted caramel, whipped cream, and nuts.
Notes
Use firm apples for best texture.
Chill overnight for clean slices.
Homemade caramel adds the richest flavor.
