Description

Pumpkin Rice Krispie treats are the perfect way to welcome fall. This easy recipe is fun for the whole family.


Ingredients

Scale

6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

1/4 cup canned pumpkin

4 tbsp butter

1 bag marshmallows

1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Orange gel food coloring (optional)


Instructions

1. Butter a 9×9 inch pan.

2. Spread pumpkin on paper towels for 5-10 minutes to reduce moisture.

3. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently.

4. Add pumpkin and stir until well mixed.

5. Add marshmallows and vanilla; stir until melted.

6. Stir in pumpkin pie spice. Add food coloring if desired.

7. Remove from heat and fold in Rice Krispies.

8. Press mixture into prepared pan and let cool.

9. Melt white chocolate chips and drizzle over treats.

10. Allow to cool, cut into 9 squares, and serve.

Notes

Use non-stick spray on hands to press mixture.

Store leftovers in an airtight container.
