These homemade lemon drops are tangy, nostalgic candies made with just 3 ingredients. They’re bright, citrusy, and surprisingly easy to make at home!
Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (strained)
1/2 tsp lemon zest (optional)
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
1. Combine sugar, lemon juice, and corn syrup in a saucepan over medium heat.
2. Stir until sugar dissolves completely.
3. Insert candy thermometer and cook without stirring until it reaches 300°F.
4. Remove from heat and stir in lemon zest.
5. Drop hot syrup onto parchment or into molds.
6. Let cool and harden for 20 minutes.
7. Dust with powdered sugar and store airtight.
Notes
Use a candy thermometer for best results.
Infuse lemon juice with herbs or spices for variations.
Store in a cool, dry place for up to 4 weeks.
