Description
Creepy yet delicious Halloween Cupcake Brain recipe with frosting piped to look like brains, drizzled with strawberry ‘blood’.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
½ cup unsalted butter
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 ½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
Pink/red food coloring
Buttercream frosting
Strawberry or raspberry sauce
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line muffin tin with cupcake liners.
2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
3. Mix dry ingredients, then alternate adding with milk to butter mixture.
4. Bake for 18–20 minutes. Cool completely.
5. Tint frosting pale pink. Fill piping bag with round tip.
6. Pipe center line, then squiggly brain folds on each side.
7. Drizzle strawberry or raspberry sauce for a gory effect.
8. Serve on a spooky tray.
