Description

Rich, fudgy brownies cut into football shapes and decorated with icing laces for the perfect game-day treat.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup unsalted butter

8 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped

1 1/4 cups brown sugar

3/4 cup granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 tsp salt

White icing for decoration

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.

2. Melt butter and chocolate together until smooth; cool slightly.

3. Whisk in sugars, then eggs and vanilla until combined.

4. Sift in flour, cocoa, and salt; fold gently to combine.

5. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan and bake 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.

6. Cool completely, then cut into ovals with a cookie cutter or knife.

7. Pipe white icing down the center and add crosshatch lines for laces.

8. Serve immediately or store for later.

Notes

For extra fudginess, remove brownies from oven when slightly underbaked in the center.

Brownies can be made 2 days ahead or frozen for up to 2 months.

Decorate after thawing for best results.
