Ingredients
1 (16.3-oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough
8 caramel candies
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 apples, finely chopped
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Caramel sauce for topping
Crushed peanuts for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a medium cooking dish with cooking spray.
2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter. Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cook until apples are tender, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
3. Remove biscuits from the can and stretch slightly. Place 1 tablespoon of apple mixture in the center of each dough circle and top with one caramel candy. Pinch together the ends of the dough to form a ball.
4. Place balls into the prepared dish and brush with melted butter.
5. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown.
6. Garnish with caramel sauce and crushed peanuts before serving.

Use Granny Smith apples for a tart contrast.
